In the first case study the loan was originated in 2005 and no loan listing was filed with the SEC. In this case I just cut right to the investor reporting site (Wells) after determining that a Chase trust was the investor per the MERS report. The loan is highlighted on page 19 of my attachment 4; it’s also listed on the full collateral schedule, both indexed by investor loan number.

Max –

Just FYI, the organizers of my presentations this week had some problem with the original venue and had to reduce numbers pretty significantly, so attendance is now limited to nonprofits from what I’m told.

Also, I thought I’d use the loan research example I used at the SoS presentation a few weeks ago, but completely redacted with regard to borrower, address, book/page references and bankruptcy case number. I’ve attached my redacted version of the documents I had originally researched for you (which, by the way, show a nice post-filing assignment out of MERS signed by an employee of the local attorney to Chase Home Finance as creditor without mentioning the trust.)

I pulled the AP on PACER for this case and saw that the attorney got this information in through an amended AP (however, incorrectly stating that the monthly investor report was a MERS document). It will be interesting to see what Chase does with this case in light of all their recent announcement.
